Angel Heart

Great movie! It's a little slow in the beginning but it builds up as the mystery of Johnny Favourite unfolds. The best part comes at the climax of the movie when Harry Angel learns the ultimate truth. Though the scene is short, Mickey's acting effectively brought out the intensity. Simply unforgettable.

Other Summaries and Reviews:

"It Provokes Real Goosebumps." -- Jack Mathews, L.A. Times

Through the footsteps of its lead character, Harry Angel, a down-and-out fifties Brooklyn gumshoe, Alan Parker's latest film "Angel Heart" takes us on a journey of violence and murder that canvasses the desperate streets of Harlem, smoke-filled jazz clubs of New Orleans, and ultimately to voodoo rituals in the sweltering swamps of Louisiana. Combined with the incredible performances of Mickey Rourke ("9 1/2 Weeks), Robert DeNiro ("The Mission"), Charlotte Ramping ("The Night Porter"), and Lisa Bonet ("The Cosby Show"), in her feature film debut, "Angel Heart" surfaces as one of the most visually provocative American movies to date.

Experience "Angel Heart..." A truly unsettling film experience.
